Butcher Beat (“we,” “us,” “our”) describes here how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use The Butcher Pro (the “Service”). Our application home page is https://butcherbeat.com/home.

1. Summary

• Most processing happens on your device in the browser.
• Google Sign-In and Google Drive are optional.
• We use Google Sign-In for email and basic profile when you choose to sign in.
• We use Google Drive scope drive.file only to save/open Butcher project files you choose.
• We do not sell personal information or Google user data.

2. Google Sign-In

When you select Sign in with Google, we use Google OAuth with scopes openid, email, and profile (and drive.file when you connect Drive). We receive from Google:

• Your email address
• Your name (and related basic profile fields Google provides)
• Profile picture URL when available

We use this information to:

• Identify you in the in-app account menu
• Associate optional on-device preferences with your session on that browser
• Enable Google Drive save/open when you request it

We do not use Google Sign-In data for advertising. We do not sell Google user data.

3. Google Drive (drive.file)

If you use Save to Google Drive or Open from Google Drive, we request OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. Under this scope we can access only:

• Project files you create through the app (typically .json or .butcher containing patterns, settings, and embedded or referenced sample data you saved), and
• Project files you explicitly select with the Google file picker.

We cannot list, read, or modify other files in your Google Drive. Project files remain in your Google account until you delete them in Drive or through Google’s tools.

Retention: Drive files persist according to your Google account settings until you delete them. OAuth tokens stored in your browser are removed when you sign out or when access is revoked.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide user-facing features you request. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except to provide the Service (e.g., Google’s APIs), as required by law, or with your consent.

7. Sharing & sale of data

We may share data with Google when you use Google Sign-In or Drive, and with infrastructure providers that host the static site. We do not sell personal information or Google user data.

8. Deleting your data & closing access

• Sign out in the app menu clears your local session and stored Google OAuth tokens on that browser.
• Revoke Google access at Google Account → Third-party access. We do not retain Google profile data on our servers after you revoke access and clear local storage.
• Drive project files: delete them in Google Drive like any other file. We do not keep copies on our servers.
• Local / email account: credentials and profile are stored only in your browser. Sign out, then clear site data for butcherbeat.com to remove them. We have no server-side account database to delete.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy on this page at https://butcherbeat.com/home/privacy with a new effective date.
